CasinoCoin Wallet Won't Open

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I thought I would also add my experience here. Just now I attempted to open my desktop wallet to retrieve my 'Receive' address by selecting the wallet I wished to open as well as entering the password. The wallet just remains stuck in its attempt to open. I've rebooted and tried again, no luck. I also attempted to recover the password but again, no such luck. I've contacted @Daniel Keller via direct message so hopefully he can help.

I downloaded the desktop wallet on the 9th Nov and installed it on my Windows 7 Asus Laptop. I've used it to receive several transactions successfully, but today its decided to wig out.

I downloaded and installed: casinocoin-wallet-ia32-4.1.4.exe

It worked great for a week.

Hey @CryptoPennyCO could you tell me how you fixed the issue with your wallet? I am still unable to open my wallet. Thanks for any help.

Since this subject is still Alive. I have checked my 4.1.4 Wallet three times today. No worries at all. Windows 10 is my OS.
And normally it should update itself, mine did a long time ago, as soon as 4.1.4 was released. But that might not be the Case, for other OS.

Guys, when I try to open my desktop wallet, I click "Open Wallet" and all that happens is the circular arrows go round and round without the wallet opening.

Anyone run into this or have a solution?

Just to update: I've gone to another Windows 7 computer in the house and downloaded the 64bit desktop wallet. Went through the steps to initialize that wallet and open it. No problems. I then completely closed the wallet and checked for any running instances on Task Manager before replacing the .casinocoin folder in the Users location. Still experiencing the same thing as @CryptoPennyCO

I think you will have to wait for @Daniel Keller.

Also, we have been recommending to make a backup wallet on another device. That's what I did.

I hope you can get your wallet back.  :drinks:

Thanks LeGonze  I'm sure Daniel will be able to help too, I imagine he's quite busy. I just figured, while waiting, it might be worth leaving some content here of my experience in case anyone else comes along with the same troubles. It seems to be a common problem across multiple platforms

https://www.google.com/search?q=desktop wallet "won't open"

When Daniel does solve this issue for me, I'll post the results here.

Hey thanks for the 'Backup Wallet' info @LeGonze I will definitely be reading this.

Yeah... I asked @Chewiecoin to pin or lock this one up, but he didn't think it was important...  :cray:

I still think it is!!... Can you pin it Sheriff??... :classic_rolleyes:

You absolute Legend @LeGonze :JC_doubleup:

I finally read through the 'Backup Wallet' link you provided. I created a new wallet on another computer in the house (64bit Win7). I then downloaded the Android App and imported that wallet along with my failed wallet that was installed on a 32bit Version of Windows 7. I was able to successfully transfer funds from the faulty desktop wallet to the new desktop wallet. Worst case scenario I lose 10 CSC to the old wallet.

Success! Thanks mate.
