CasinoCoin Wallet Won't Open

Recommended Posts

Guys, when I try to open my desktop wallet, I click "Open Wallet" and all that happens is the circular arrows go round and round without the wallet opening.

Anyone run into this or have a solution?

Which OS? And which version of the desktop wallet?

My CasinoWallet (Version 4.1.3)

MacBook Pro laptop (macOS High Sierra 10.13.6)

When I click on the CSC graphic to launch the wallet, then click on “Open Wallet”, the circular arrows just spin endlessly without the wallet opening.

I understand that there is a newer versions of the CSC Wallet, but my wallet did not automatically update to that version.

Your data dir won't be deleted, just do be sure, copy your .Casinocoin folder to a safe location. Yes it starts with a dot and should be in your user folder 🙂

.Casinocoin folder is copied and saved. I noticed in the folder that it shows multiple .db files from .db0 to .db6.

I uninstalled the old wallet version and installed the new, but I am still having the same issue. Ugh. 😞

It is recognizing the wallet and the password, but it will not open.

In the drop down for choosing a wallet, it only gives me the auto-populated wallet as a choice.

Is there a way for me to send you a screen shot in this editor?

@CryptoPennyCO First export all Keys. If you can not export but have all of the secrets then no problem. Then open terminal by hitting CMD + Space. Then enter Terminal.

next type “cp -r .casinocoin .casinocoin.bak” this will create a copy of the data directory.

no quotes.

then hit return.

Next type out “rm -rf .casinocoin” and hit return. This will irrevocably delete the original data directory.

delete the Casinocoin app and reinstall. Then import your keys and you are good.

@CryptoPennyCO let us know how it turns out for ya please. It is limely just a corrupted database. Perhaps permissions. So I am having you backup your wallets and then backing up the directory if we need it. Then finally deleting the original data directory. When you reinstall, it will rebuild everything for ya. @Daniel Keller

Sorry, but I am not a tech expert. :classic_unsure:

When you say "export all Keys", are you referring to the 6 .db files in my Casino Coin folder? I don't have an "export" option on my Mac. Do I need to cut and paste the files into Text file temporarily?

Go to "Tools" -> Private Keys -> Export Private Key File

@Daniel Keller He may need to merge the db files with any other file you have if he never export his keys in the first place. I do not think copying the db files alone will be sufficient enough to gain access to a wallet. Can you get your programmer in on this?

@CryptoPennyCO if you have deposited coins into that wallet and do not want to loose them because you may be unsure of what you are doing then I would be happy to schedule an appt with you and we can use teamviewer to make repairs. This is only super important if you never exported the wallet keys before this.

To message me directly just type @Xilobyte in your reply

Dont touch those files if you are not sure what to do.

Really if you have not made any deposits into that wallet then there is no problems. But if you have a significant balance there, you need to stop doing anything if you are not sure. Maybe better to let a tech help ya out.

I have a VERY significant amount of CSC in that wallet that I deposited back in August.

Does CasinoCoin have techs on staff to assist with something like this?

I appreciate all that you guys tried to do to help, Daniel. I'm sure half of this cluster is my fault. Just need to get this resolved somehow. Wish I was a tech savvy as you all are. :classic_unsure:
