New Wallet Version 4.1.4 released!

Recommended Posts

Opened the "Old" Wallet and made the installation of version 4.1.4. Worked flawless and fast. But the new version does not show the FIAT value of my CSC. It´s empty.
I have the Windows Desktop Wallet.

Hi Daniel and Zen...

I just opened my wallet and it did update to 4.1.4

It does show fiat value on my PC system. My MacBook did not auto update to the new version.

So far so good...

Daniel, how hard would it be to add third party authentication like "Google Authenticator" ?

Cheers and Thanks!

Cyn

- Added key export after new account creation
- Added CRN transaction support
- Added signing and verifying messages

- Fixed transaction fetching after account selection
- Fixed menu hiding after hitting ESC
- Fixed "less than 1 satoshi send" bug
- Upgraded dependency packages for security vulnerabilities
- Changed Notification mechanism changed back to OS default
- additional smaller fixes and enhancements

RPM link will be updated in the next minutes, meanwhile https://download.casinocoin.org/download/4.1.4/linux_64/casinocoin-wallet-4.1.4.x86_64.rpm

Hey Daniel and Brothers!!

Do we have a step by step and an explication for all these features??

I'm not a tech muppet at all, so I don't understand all these features that much.

The only thing I do with my DAs is: I buy them and then I store them on the Ledger Nano S, and I belive that's enough to be safe. But I'm not really sure what I need to do with this wallet to be safe.

Thanks!!  :drinks:

As far as Iunderstand

- Removed connection check from wallet setup (Offline account creation now possible)

> This means that a ''TRUE' offline paper wallet can be created with no connection existing to the outside world. Security Fix

- Added forced key export after setup and account creation

> After creating your first account in the wallet, it will force you to export and save the key somewhere. Avoids a scenario where someone creates a wallet, doesn't export the key, then through hardware failure loses their access to the wallet

- Added key export after new account creation

> After creating a new account, force export of private key, same as above

EDIT:Don't know about the other stuff, bug fixes and some techno things Idont understand

A minor issue that I have run into in past versions and still run into with this version:

When I have the wallet application open and am logged into the wallet, when my computer goes to sleep the wallet seems to automatically log out - this is fine.

The problem is that when I wake the computer the prompt to select a wallet doesn't appear - I just see the casinocoin logo. And I can't close the windows because it tells me I need to use the tools -> quit menu, but no menu icons appear at the bottom either. I find that I have to force quit the application.

I can open up a second instance and it will let me open/close/quit, but this has no effect on the other instance.

EDIT: If I hover over the thumbnail in the taskbar click the X there, I get the same error message popup, but then the instance seems to close.

Yes. sudo dpkg -i filename will upgrade the version over the current one . Or for GUI install, so will double click on the downloaded package.

Hello, sorry to be dense.  I have a properly working 4.13 wallet.  It does show USD price at bottom.

I d/l's 4.14 rpm file.  Does the wallet automatically update when connected or do I install the downloaded file?

Since you're downloading an RPM, I guess you're on centos or fedora?

You'll need to install the RPM with rpm -Uvh filename or via the package manager.

Please backup your .casinocoin folder first.

Thanks for the new version of the CSC-wallet!

Just upgraded v4.13 to v4.14 on MacOS (High Sierra, 10.13.6).

Downloaded the new version, made a backup of the existing wallet and installed the new version (like @Sal mentioned).

Everything went fine.

Feature request / tip (maybe I overlooked this and it's not very high prio anyway): somewhat easier way to copy your own account address. Now I click "Receive coins" and then right click on the account ... took me a minute to find out though...

The auto update thing is weird on mac. We will look into this, the hibernation thing as well, need to reproduce that. Mo is working on the explainer videos. i know i promised them a long time ago but we will put them up asap. Right Click/Copy/Paste Stuff as well. I hope we get rid of this in the next version cause it is annoying.
